It's clean, spacious, and the tickets are always under $4. They have normal concessions with popcorn and other snacks, and they always show movies from very recent. Today we were able to get in, an adult and child, for $7. The theater is a little old but the bathrooms are clean, the theaters are clean, the air conditioner is cold and the popcorn is fantastic. D movies here. This older theater has a fun retro vibe. Movie theater is an older one that has been turned into a cheap theater for older movies. The theaters are not set in a modern stadium seating. It is the older style with the doors in the back which makes it a bit awkward to get up and go to the bathroom or get refills for concessions. The theater tickets are cheap however the concessions are still the same price. You would think that they would come down a little bit. However the staff is really nice. We accidentally spilled our popcorn and they managers helped clean it up and then topped off our popcorn which I thought was very nice of them. When I was growing up on the East side of Tucson, Century Gateway 1. Then they built the theater at El Con, then at Park Place, and this one fell into the . Considering that, it's remarkably clean and well- kept. Perhaps as a discount theater, they're hoping to appease people with some hearing loss. Certainly any of their regular customers should expect to experience it. Next time, I'll be sure to bring a pair of ear plugs. My ears were ringing for hours after the show. Those aren't big issues here: a 3. D evening show cost me less than $4 and the seats stay mostly empty, because these are movies that most theater- goers have already seen. I'm not sure if they've replaced them in the entire building, or only in some of the theaters, but it was a nice upgrade. They have higher backs with head rests, they are slightly reclined, and the arm rests are optional. They only thing they're missing are stadium seats. My husband and I always come here before it gets packed, we were two of 6 people in the theatre. The snack bar is your normal, out of this world expensive, movie snack stand. I love that this location isn't as popular, it makes for a nice date night! The only thing I could comment on about being out of whack is the ladies bathroom. I opened up three stalls with either toilets that weren't flushed, or they looked like a biohazard. I turned around and walked out, I was not about to catch anything! The service you receive is alright, mostly teenagers and college kids. It's a hit and miss, depending in the person. Overall I would come back! I'll make it short: this movie theater is like any other mainstream movie theater- -only much, much cheaper. We went here to see a 3. D movie and each ticket was only about $5. Like most theaters, they have a big parking lot, they sell popcorn and other sweets and sodas, they have pretty standard seats, and the sound- quality was fine. What a great savings at 1. Tuesday. It was really busy so it must be a good deal for them also. I will definately go again. I just watch for a show I am interested in as it does not look like they change shows very often. But who cares, as a senior it is cheap intertainment.. I move to the east side over a year ago, but was putting off going to this theater from memories of a run- down- dive from my teenage years. But it looks like this place went through some rehab, and it's clean and nice inside. On the night I was there, he said hello to a patron by name (I assume a regular). They are pretty small, and not super comfortable. Also, the angle is pretty flat, meaning you have to tilt your head back pretty far to look at the screen. I am a sucker for a cheap movie. I got to see Dark Shadows here for just 3. The theater was hopping on a Friday night. This screen was pretty filled, but enough seats, and actually very comfy seats. I think this may be my favorite of the cheap seat theaters. It feels like a first- run movie theater, much larger than the Crossroads on Grant. I was able to dart off into another room after my film ended and catch a little of another film. That was bad of me I know, but I was bored. I worry about the parking lot so hide your valuables or take them in with you. But that's true of anywhere I guess! I'm not even going to admit the last time we've been to a movie in the theater. It's kind of embarrassing. Why pay $9 each and sit in uncomfortable chairs with people talking around you when we can Redbox for $1. We felt like we weren't ripped off and were in just as good of a mood as when we walked in. Not to mention, a great location for us SE dwellers.
